GAMCO Global Gold, Natural Resources & Income Trust: GAMCO Global Gold, Natural Resources & Income Trust (GGN) is a non-diversified, closed-end management company that generates income primarily through a strategy of writing covered call options on the equity securities in its portfolio. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of companies principally engaged in the gold and natural resources industries. Holdings span companies involved in the exploration, mining, fabrication, processing, and trading of gold, as well as firms engaged in the exploration, production, or distribution of broader natural resources such as oil and gas, metals, minerals, agriculture, and forestry. The fund was launched by GAMCO Investors, Inc., is managed by Gabelli Funds, LLC, and has been operating since its formation in January 2005.
